International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

On this day, CFSI organised screening of film LAADLI at multiple locations for the infotainment of children, while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of Covid19.

Synopsis of film LAADLI:

12 year old Roshni is left an orphan after a cyclone. She takes shelter in a refugee home. Coming to know of her plight her childless uncle and aunt take her with them. They live in a village in the interiors of Rajasthan which practices female infanticide. Not a single girl child has been allowed to survive in the past 80 years. Roshni’s optimism and vivacity surprise the villagers, exposing their fallacy of considering the male child superior than a girl. But can a lone girl change prejudice and faulty tradition of centuries?
