On the occasion of commemoration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, CFSI films based on principles of Mahatma Gandhiji viz. Bapu ne Kaha Tha & Abhi Kal Hi Ki Baat Hai alongwith short animation film ‘Vaishnav Jan To’ and other CFSI film namely, ‘MAA-AA’ were screened on 31st July, 2019 at various places signifying important event i.e. Declaration of Individual Civil Disobedience held on 31st July 1933 at Ahmedabad. Total 34 shows were conducted benfitting 20,05,069 child audiences.

On the occasion of ‘International Friendship Day’ on 4th August, 2019, CFSI organised screening of CFSI film viz. ‘Choo Lenge Akash’,  90 minute feature film based on friendship directed by Virendra Saini.

Also, short animation film “Vaishnav Jan To’ based on Mahatma Gandhiji was screened alongwith films made by children on ‘Cleanliness’.

Total 20 shows were organised covering more 20 lakhs children. The film was screened at the following places.

Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) in association with Tender Roots Academy of Performing Arts (TRAPA) will screen CFSI’s animation film ‘Krish, Trish & Baltiboy-I’ directed by Munjal Shroff & Tilak Raj Shetty at Children’s Museum, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Fort, Mumbai on 4th August, 2019.

Synopsis of the film:

Krish the cat, Trish the monkey and Baltiboy the donkey – three lovable storytellers take you on a colourful and exotic journey of Indian folktales to Rajasthan, Kerala and Punjab, while you enjoy their antics that lighten up the screen in this wonderfully crafted animation.

CFSI organizes special screening on every Saturday of the month for students of Donyi-Polo Mission School for Hearing and Visually impaired at Chimpu, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

CFSI film ‘Amulyam’, an audio described film was screened on 13th July, 2019. Around 105 child audience enjoyed the show.

Yet another special screening was organised for children with cancer at St. Jude India Childcare Center, Cotton Green, Mumbai on 19th July, 2019, a home away from home for underprivileged families during their child’s treatment for cancer.

Around 35 children enjoyed the screening.

CFSI organised a screening for children at The Society for Rehabilitation of Crippled Children (SRCC) at Haji Ali, Mumbai, a children’s hospital which is serving the needs of Children, from all sections of society.

CFSI’s animation film ‘Krish, Trish & Baltiboy – II’ alongwith short animation film based on Mahatma Gandhiji viz. Vaishnav Jan To was screened 19th July, 2019.

Children alongwith parents enjoyed CFSI film.

With a continuous effort to provide entertainment to children at various Remand homes, CFSI organised a week long special screening for children at Remand Homes at Mumbai from 21st to 30th June, 2019.

Before screening of CFSI film ‘Halo’, a short animation film ‘Vaishnav Jan To’ based on Gandhiji and films made by Little Directors based on Swachhta were also screened.

The screening was enjoyed by more than 380 boys and girls.

A special screening was organised for children with cancer at St. Jude India Childcare Centre, Cotton Green, Mumbai on 21st June, 2019.

St. Jude India Childcare Centre is a home away from home for underprivileged families during their child’s treatment for cancer.

A short animation film based on Mahatma Gandhiji viz. Vaishnav Jan To was screened before the screening of CFSI films viz. Gattu and Maa..aa.

Around 20 boys and 10 girls enjoyed the screening.

Screening of CFSI films was conducted at Earthangels Welfare Foundation, Govandi (West), Mumbai on 22nd June, 2019.

CFSI’s animation film Krish, Trish Baltiboy – II, films on cleanliness viz. Kachrapur, Soch Sauchalay, Master ki Class & Swachhta ki Khoj made by Little Directors and a short animation film based on Mahatma Gandhiji viz. Vaishnav Jan To were screened.

Total 54 boys and girls enjoyed the movies.

CFSI films viz. Pappu ki Pugdandi, films made by Little Directors on Swachhta and short animation film – Vaishnav Jan To were screened on 21st June, 2019 at NGO Recess which empowers the nation by educating the society at the grass root level – the children.

Around 15 boys and 25 girls enjoyed the show.

With the Co-ordination of Can Support, Gulmohar Park, New Delhi, CFSI Delhi has arranged a show on 10th June,2019 and CFSI films Vashnav Jan Song and Ek Tha Motu ek Tha Chotu were screened.  About 61 Cancer patient children (51 boys and 10 girls) were benefitted by this shows.  Head of the  Centre has   appreciated this efforts made by CFSI for arranging these shows by giving her remarks “ GREAT INITIATIVE”

With the Co-ordination of Saathi Center (Institute of Social Studies and Trust) CFSI has conducted 2 shows of CFSI films TARU, MALLI and VASNAV JAN Song on 6th June,2019. About 180 children (100 boys & 80 girls) were benefited by these shows. The In-charges of the Center Ms. Kamlesh Gaur has appreciated this efforts made by CFSI for arranging these shows particular for the benefit of street children, slum children and requested to conduct similar shows in future also.
