Happy Independence Day 2022

“Only One Earth” is the campaign slogan, for World Environment Day 2022 with the focus on “Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature”.

On this day, Children’s Film Society, India conducted screenings of its short animation film TARU directed by Father of Indian Animation Shri Ram Mohan ji at NGOs, to encourage children to take care of the environment.

World Bicycle Day draws attention to the benefits of using the bicycle — a simple, affordable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation. The bicycle contributes to cleaner air and less congestion and makes education, health care and other social services more accessible to the most vulnerable populations.

On this day, Children’s Film Society, India conducted screenings of its children film ‘TRIYATRI’ at NGOs to emphasize environmental benefits of cycling which also keeps you physically fit.

On Buddha Purnima, Children’s Film Society, India screened ‘KARUNA KI VIJAY’ directed by Kewaldas Bansod a short animation film based on the teachings of Gautam Buddha, for children at NGOs while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID19.

On International Day of Families, Children’s Film Society, India screened a fun-filled family entertainer children film ‘SUNDAY’ directed by Pankaj Advani, for entertainment of children at NGOs while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID19.

CFSI film “SWACHHATA KI KHOJ” produced under Little Director Program has won award under “School Student Film” category at 11th CMS VATAVARAN Film Festival.

Little Director Program info:

Little Directors workshops were conducted to encourage children and young people in India to experiment with the moving image, and stimulate the pursuit of film-making both as an art as well as a creative expression of their point of view. Also to show them career opportunities available in Media Industry and to explore their creativity or out of box thinking capacity.

The workshops were organised on teaching and understanding about Cinema and it’s various aspects like script, screenplay, operating camera, editing, audio-video mixing, making of animation films,  how to use special effects, and informing them about online free apps that can be used to make film in this Digital world etc.

Under this programme, students have made 10 films. One of the films named “Swachhata Ki Khoj” directed by Punam Chand has won the award under the “School Student Film” category at the 11th CMS Vatavaran International Film Festival and Forum on Environment & Wildlife 2021.

Synopsis of film:

Swachhata Ki Khoj is a film about a little girl who witnesses a traumatizing incident while defecating in the field and decides to bring change.

On the Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore ji, Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) organised screening of its children film ‘DAK GHAR’ at NGOs, while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of Covid19.

The film is based on a play by Rabindranath Tagore ji directed by Zul Vellani which brings together a collage of talents from Indian cinema including Kaifi Azmi, M. S. Sathyu, Madan Mohan, Sharmila Tagore and Balraj Sahni.

Mother’s Day is celebrated in various parts of the world to express respect, honour, and love towards mothers.

On Mother’s Day, CFSI screened children film ‘HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY’ directed by Anjuli Shukla for entertainment of children at NGOs, while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of Covid19.

Activity Action plan up to October 2020 on Commemoration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’.

To Commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, films on Mahatma Gandhiji will be screened during “Children’s Film Festival” and “LCD shows” organize by CFSI in Pan India.

The Films details are as under :–

A) CFSI produced films on Mahatma Gandhiji’s Principles

  1. Bapu Ne Kaha Tha
  2. Abhi Kal Hi Ki Baat Hai 

B) Little Director Films on Gandhiji 

Films made by students on Gandhiji’s principles, reminds and urges us to follow Gandhiji’s teachings. The films were invited to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Best films are shortlisted for further nation-wide screenings

C) “Vaishnav Jan To (Animation Film) –

The animation film on the famous bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To”, which has underlying message in which exhorts all to be helpful to others, be pure in words, thought and action and to forego lust and anger are all the more relevant today and will go a long way in inculcating right moral values in the minds of all especially children.

The above mentioned films will be screened during CFSI organized Children’s Film Festivals and LCD shows covering 19 States and more than 27 districts. Below is given planned schedule of activities.

Further, CFSI has finalized to telecast of CFSI’s films on Mahatma Gandhi “Bapu Ne Kaha Tha” and “Abhi Kal Hi Ki Baat Hai” on Doordarshan National, Loksabha and Rajya Sabha TV in fixed slot for a programme.

The Selected films will be screened through “Virtual Studio “and “Govt. Education Channel” in association with Education Department of States / districts.

Special individual screening of above said films will be organized at Remand Homes and Observation Homes, Cancer Care Centers, Orphanages, slum areas etc.

World Laughter Day is celebrated worldwide to raise awareness about laughter and its many healing benefits.

On this day, CFSI screened children film ‘PEHLE AAP’ for entertainment of children at NGOs, while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of Covid19.

‘Earth Day’ which is celebrated on 22nd April, focuses on the effects of climate change on the planet that we all share and what efforts are being made in the real world to mitigate it.

On this day, CFSI screened children film ‘MALLI’ for infotainment of children at NGOs, while taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of Covid19.
