MESSAGE

I am happy to know that the Children's Film Society, India under the aegis of the Ministry
of Information and Broadcasting is organising the Biennial 15th International Children's
Film Festival 'The Golden Elephant' fromNovember 14-20, 2007.

Children during their formative years are deeply influenced by what they see and hear.
Films create a great influence on their impressionable minds. Children's films are
therefore a good alternative to commercial cinema which sometimes can cause an adverse
impact on them. I am confident that as in the past years, this year's festival will provide
children good and educative films to see.

I extend my warm greetings and felicitations to the participants and the organisers and
wish the Film Festival every success.
