My Eyes (Inden for

(Dir.: Erlend E. .Mo/ Denmark/2006/19
mins.) (IC) (Doc.)
Category : Short/ Documentry
16-year-old Katja and 8-year-old Catherine
share a fascinating relationship with music and nature.
Both blind, the girls have developed a heightened sense
of touch and hearing, which affords them a special insight
into the world around them. The film offers a glimpse
into Katja and Catherine’s intense environment
by exploring how heir surroundings feel and sound to
them. It is a moving meditation on the senses that will
leave viewers with a fresh perspective on the simple
pleasures most of us take for granted, such as listening
to Beethoven or touching snow.
ERLEND E. MO studied literature and
Scandinavian languages at the Oslo University and Film
and TV at Volda University College. He has produced
and directed programmes for NRK’s and DR’s
Children and Youth Departments. His documentaries have
won numerous awards including the Terje Vigen prize
and the IDFA Silver Club award. His film Can You Die
In Heaven? was voted Best Documentary by the youth jury
at the Odense Film Festival.

the hidden reality in an otherwise ordinary night.
Tyger is a short film inspired by William
Blake's eponymous poem. It's a visual narrative with
a structure that is very similar to that of a music

in São Paulo, Brazil. Guilherme started working
as an illustrator when he was still in Architecture
school. In 2000, he joined the Brazilian animation studio
Lobo Filmes where he worked as animator/director for

and Nickelodeon. He was involved in directing the build-up
campaign for the European Music Awards 2005 for MTV
International in London before returning to São
Paulo to work as a freelancer. Her last film Into Pieces
went to major festivals such as Annecy and Ottawa and
also won a few awards. Her latest venture, Tyger was

Sold Out
(Dir.: Marie Jose van der
Linden/Netherland/2007/7.3min) (IC) (A)
Category : Short/ Animation
In the course of one day, we get a
glimpse of the life of a middle-class family in Catholic
Brabant – in the south of the Netherlands –
in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century. A village shop
stood for social contacts, long working hours, minimal
income and a shared responsibility: the whole family
worked in the shop. The children grew up and moved away.
This one day illustrates the demise of this family business.
Because of the advent of the supermarket and the lack
of a successor, many small shopkeepers had to close
up for good. Sold Out is a tribute to the largely vanished
breed of small shopkeepers.
MARIE JOSÉ VAN DER LINDEN was

of Visual Arts in Tilburg and following her graduation,
she made her debut film Groten van het Noordzeestrand
in 1991. Since then she has been active in making animation
films, including a short film Free Your Mind for the
