Director's Biography
Vijay Bhatt
Born in 1907 in Palitana, Saurashtra.
Vijay Bhatt studied up to Inter-Science at Xavier's
College. Bombay and then obtained a diploma in Electrical
Lighting and Traction from the London International
Correspondence Schools. A three years slint with
the Bombay Electrical Supply and Tramways company
followed before hovered off to charting an illustrious
career in film Bhat made a lasting impression on
the Indian film scene with his highly successful
Baiju Bawara, the film that plummeted both Meena
Kumari and Bharat Bhooshan into stardom. He also
gained a mass following for his mythological films
among the most well known of which was Ram Rajya
Starting in 1929 with the making of five silent
film Vijay Bhatt went on to being associated as
scriptwriter, producer and director of near to sixtyfive
feature films. In 1947 Mr Skurus. President Twentieth
Century Fox awarded Bhatt a Scrollof Honour at the
Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.

Synopsis
Mahatma Gandhi, affectionately known to his followers
as Bapu, was great believer in Truth and gave the
motto of Satyameva Jayate to our country Raja a village
boy, decide to adopt the motto against heavy odds.
He succeeds in informing his village which had forgotten
the meaning and value of believing in truth. Morarji
Desai features in this film talking to children about
the childhood of Mahatma Gandhi.
