Director's Biography
K.A.Abbas
A graduate of Aligrah University,
Khwaja Ahmad Abbas became one of the most important
influences on Indian cinema.The opposition to his
pungent film reviews in the Bombay Chronicle led
to his first film script Naya Sansar (The New World),
about a journalist up against business interests.
Released in 1941. It was a success and paved the
way for films on contemporary progressive issues.
His next film The Journery of Dr Kotnis dealt with
a team of Indian doctors who served with the Chinese
forces, one of whom marries a Chinese nurse and
loses his life while on duty. This film, based on
his book, satisfied several divergent war interest,
gaining an international platform. Abbas went on
to make a series of socially significant films,
many of them in collaboration with Rak Kapoor Parvati

Synopsis
A travelogue in which thirty two children hailing
from different parts of India travel from its northermost
region, Srinagar, lying at the foothills of the Himalayas,
to its southernmost tip. cape Comorin (Kanyakumari)
in the South. The journey demonstrates that there
is unity in diversity.
