It gives me immense pleasure to know that Children's Film
Society, India (CFSI) is organizing the 16th edition of International
Children's Film Festival, India “Golden Elephant”
at Hyderabad during 14-20 November, 2009.
CFSI has been organizing this biennial event since 1979.
Over the years, the Festival has contributed immensely in
the promotion of cinema as a means of education and entertainment
for children. Children are tomorrow's citizens and they really
deserve good films to watch. It is essential to shape up their
thinking right from the beginning so that humanity at large
can benefit.
I extend my warm wishes to CFSI and appreciate their efforts
for organizing a film festival of international stature for
the benefit of children.
